Bosbury's Bake-Off Masters!

We were extremely impressed this week seeing the delicious-looking entries to our latest weekly virtual photo competition - the Great Bosbury Bake-Off 2020!

We were amazed by the very fitting rainbow cupcakes, sumptuous-looking strawberry cake, stained glass window effect biscuits, and one of the young baker-extraordinaires below even used a Slovakian recipe called kokosovi jezkovia, which translates as coconut hedgehogs! We can just smell these creations from school, and the judges are going to have their most difficult decision yet on deciding a winner seeing as they are sadly unable to taste them!

We've also seen some great alternative food-based activities taking place in the kitchens of Bosbury families this week, including some Wagamama-rivalling sushi, a very healthy-looking vegetable star made by the young lady from Class 3 below who no doubt has a thorough knowledge of all of the different contents contained within food thanks to the informative display on the side of her fridge, as well as a fruity nautical scene accompanied by some tasty-looking fishy treats prepared by a young galleon cook again from Class 3!

Not to be outdone by these talented home chefs , some of our Year 1 children in school also had great fun making cakes of their own with Mrs. Dark and Mrs. Swain on Thursday afternoon, and,  together with the further hot dogs and marshmallows cooked up at forest school for our Year 6s, it's safe to say that Bosbury children have eaten rather well this week!

Don't forget that any form of homebaking is fantastic for helping to develop children's maths skills through weighing and measuring ingredients, with a tasty reward of course at the end of the process of course thrown into the bargain! Well done Bosbury bakers!
